I attended a conference at the Gaia headquarters in Boulder Colorado over the last weekend. This was my first in-person attendance, although I use Gaia streaming services quite often. They offer such a diverse library of documentaries, films, and almost anything you might be looking for in the spiritual/metaphysical realm. I teach yoga but for my personal practice I use the streaming yoga sessions weekly. My favorite yoga instructor is on Gaia – Steph Schwartz, check her out!
The Gaia Emersion conference topic was “Grow into your higher nature”. There were 11 speakers, all well-known and world-renowned. The keynote speakers were Marianne Williamson and Michael Beckwith. The other speakers were Matias DeStefano, Caroline Cory, Bill McKenna, Dr. Theresa Bullard-Whyke, Dr. Bradley Nelson, Ben Joseph Stewart, Sah D’Simone, and Dannion Brinkley (who stepped in for Anita Moorjani when she couldn’t make it at the last moment). All are brilliant in their own right and the messages were inspirational and insightful while offering tools to add to my toolbox to utilize when needed.
I left with a renewed sense of hope for our community, our country, our world. My favorite song is Imagine by John Lennon. In case you haven’t listened to the song recently here are the lyrics. Simply beautiful and hoped filled.
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky
Imagine all the people
Livin’ for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Livin’ life in peace
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
Beautiful….Imagine
